Mobile and Web App Development

We build iOS, Android and web applications, along with the backends, payment flows and third-party integrations that make them useful.

The first real decision on a mobile project is native or cross-platform, and there is no universal answer. Flutter or React Native gets you onto both stores from one codebase, which suits most business apps and nearly every first release. Swift and Kotlin still win when the app leans on the platform: background audio, heavy camera work, tight payment or wallet integration. We have shipped both ways and will tell you which fits, including when the cheaper route is good enough.

The second decision is the backend, and it gets less attention than it should. An app is only as reliable as the API behind it. We design the API contract first, document it, and build the app and the server against it in parallel.

What we build

Consumer apps

Social, wellness and booking apps where the first two minutes decide whether a user stays. Our VOiCEON social app uses WebRTC for live audio with Firebase and a Laravel backend.

Transactional apps

Search, booking and checkout flows wired to third-party systems. The SundAir flight booking app connects the Amadeus API to Stripe payments in native Swift and Kotlin clients.

Web applications and portals

Dashboards, customer portals and internal tools with role-based access, built on Laravel or Node.js.

Companion apps for devices

The mobile side of an IoT product: pairing, control, notifications and firmware update prompts.

How a project runs

  1. 1

    Discovery and flows

User journeys and clickable wireframes, so arguments about scope happen over sketches rather than finished screens.

  2. 2

    Design

Interface design following each platform's conventions. An Android app should not feel like an iPhone app in disguise.

  3. 3

    API contract

Endpoints, payloads and error cases agreed and documented before either side is built.

  4. 4

    Build in sprints

A build you can install on your own phone every two weeks.

  5. 5

    Testing and release

Device testing, store submission, crash and analytics monitoring from day one.

  6. 6

    Handover or maintenance

Full documentation and source, plus a support plan if you want one.

The people you meet at the start are the people who build and hand over the project. That is the first of our six written guarantees.

Questions we get asked

Native or cross-platform?

Cross-platform for most business and content apps, because one codebase roughly halves the ongoing maintenance. Native when you depend on platform features, need the best possible performance, or already have a native codebase. We recommend after seeing the feature list, not before.

Can you work with our existing backend?

Yes, if it has an API or can be given one. We will review it first and tell you about anything likely to hurt the app, such as slow endpoints or missing pagination.

How do you handle App Store and Google Play review?

We prepare the listings, privacy declarations and builds and manage the back and forth with reviewers. Rejections are common on a first submission and rarely serious.

Do you sign an NDA?

Yes, before any detailed discussion if you prefer. Code and design ownership passes to you under the contract.
