The Challenge
The airline needed mobile booking that worked end to end: live fares from its reservation system, seat selection and payment, including the awkward cases such as price changes during checkout.

Developed a flight booking application with real-time pricing, seat selection, and secure payment processing, integrated with major airline reservation systems.

How it works
The iOS and Android apps are native, written in Swift and Kotlin. Both talk to a Node.js backend instead of calling the Amadeus API directly. That middle layer holds the credentials, normalizes the search results and applies the airline's own fare rules before anything reaches a phone.
Payment goes through the Stripe SDK, so card details are entered into Stripe's components and never touch the airline's servers. The backend confirms payment and issues the booking as one guarded sequence, with compensation steps if either half fails.
The hard part
Flight prices and seat availability change between the moment a user searches and the moment they pay. The booking flow re-prices at checkout and explains any change plainly, instead of failing at the last step with a generic error.
The failure cases took the most design time. A payment taken without a ticket issued is the worst outcome a booking app can produce, so every step is idempotent and safe to retry, and anything that cannot be resolved automatically is flagged for a person to sort out.
